Veteran's Day Celebration a Huge Success!
Blythe's annual Veteran's Day celebration was a smashing success! All 1,1129 students sang, cheered, and thanked approximately 60 veterans from all the military branches. Commander Gerry Rubink, US Navy, retired, spoke to the students and staff about the service and sacrifices of our service man and woman show every day. Thank you to Mrs. Kim Burris, who coordinated this fantastic event!
Commander Rubink and his great granddaughter, Logan.
Test Scores from 2012-2013 are in.
Blythe Cardinals achieved high growth again! This means that students made above the expected growth. Our students and teachers' hard work and dedication shows! We made 100% of all state (42 of them) AND federal (29 of them) targets! Job well done, Cardinals! Click the link below to see the letter that went home explaining our scores.

Student safety is paramount at Blythe Elementary School. Please refer to the January newsletter (link to the left) for more details regarding safety!
Kudos to Ms. Glover and Ms. Green! They bring their first and third graders together to be book buddies. Students read to each other each month. Beginning in the new year, they will be pen pals as well!
Virtual Staff Development
Blythe staff participated in several virtual workshops with 3 East Zone schools--Landsdowne Elementary, McKee Elementary, and Elizabeth Lane Elementary. By setting up Facetime, we were able to share in 4 different workshops over several hours. Hats off to all the involved staff for our first school-to-school professional development via technology!
